CANCELLATION
I understand that life happens, and sometimes appointments need to be cancelled. In the case that you need to cancel your appointment, please let our office know no later than 48 hours before the start of your appointment.

NO-SHOW/ MISSED SESSIONS
If an appointment is missed without contacting our office beforehand, the appointment will be billed to you. A cancellation 25-48 hours before the session will be charged 50% of the session fee. Any cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full session cost. This policy serves to respect our counsellors' time, and ensures that appointment times can be filled with clients who are on our waitlist.

EMERGENCY
In the case of an emergency, please call 911 or the BC Crisis Helpline which can be reached at (604) 872-3311 to ensure you get the help that you need in a timely fashion. If you see it to be helpful, please feel free to leave me an email or voice message to let me know that you have used an emergency service. We will discuss this in our next session.

SOCIAL MEDIA
To respect your privacy and to ensure that our therapeutic relationship is protected, I do not accept friend requests from clients on social media. I will not respond to client inquiries through my business social media accounts as this correspondence is not secure.

TESTIMONIALS
I do not include testimonials on my website, Psychology Today profile, or Google Business profile for a number of ethical reasons, including client anonymity and beneficence. Please know that any reviews connected to my business have never been solicited, and you will not be asked to leave a testimonial about my services.

VULNERABLE POPULATIONS
It is the policy of Liberty Point Counselling, under the Sole Proprietorship of Nicole Barwich, that all those working with children or vulnerable adults must comply with having a current and clear Criminal Record Check on file.
